Graduation ceremony: more than two hundred graduates atEcole de Savignac in 2023

On June 23,Ecole de Savignac held its 34th graduation ceremony for the class of 2023 at the Théâtre de Périgueux. Over 200 students were honored at the event, which was attended by almost 800 people.

A look back at the day's highlights

Savignac graduates were presented with the precious sesame at the Odyssée theater in Périgueux, in front of over 800 people.

Our host Christophe Ruaults kicked off the ceremony with a hilarious Mission Impossible-style introduction, before handing over to Christophe Fauvel, President of the Dordogne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He addressed the students with an inspiring, emotionally-charged message.

You are the pride ofécole de Savignac and you wear your diploma in the best possible way. Today, starting this morning, you are the guarantors of what we call the Savignac Spirit.

Determination, perseverance... Christophe Fauvel underlined the students'unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Director Cyril Lanrezac also extended his warm congratulations to the Class of 2023, recognizing the hard work they had put in to achieve their goals. He gave invaluable advice to the young graduates, highlighting the major challenges facing the hospitality industry.

In his speech, he thanked the parents, stakeholders, staff and elected representatives who play an essential role in the students' careers every year. Their support and contribution are key to creating an environment conducive to the learning and development of our graduates.

Then it was the turn of the young graduates from the Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management program to take to the stage. Whether they had followed the classic or alternance format, it was their merit that brought them to the stage that day.

After congratulating the students on their particularly brilliant performance and results this year, Bernard Clauzel announced the prizes for the best oral presentations. A very good vintage this year, as many students performed exceptionally well in the oral defense, achieving a mark of 20/20.

Next up were the graduates of the MBA Hospitality Management program. They closed the graduation ceremony in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. This year's prize for excellence was awarded to a very promising student: Elise Meynet-Cordonnier.

An inspiring ceremony with the remarkable presence of Steven Daines

In a widely applauded speech, Steven Daines, Managing Director Talent & Culture of the Accor Group, expressed his gratitude to the parents who provided invaluable support to the students. He benevolently highlighted the growing social divide in our society and the importance of social and environmental responsibility in the tourism sector. In his view, the future lies in our ability to bring about a more responsible form of tourism, capable of preserving our environment while offering enriching experiences. He encouraged the students to be creative, stressing that there can be no innovation without risk-taking.

This year's graduation ceremony also had a special twist, with Françoise Madiès, in charge of Club Savignac, celebrating her retirement after 35 years of service toEcole de Savignac.

Finally, the graduates and their families enthusiastically joined in a convivial cocktail party to celebrate their success.
