As part of your studies at theÉcole hôtelière de Savignac, you'll have the opportunity to gain one or more international experiences: either through a study stay at a foreign university, or an internship abroad. These experiences are truly challenging and enriching. They help you gain maturity, build your CV, prepare your career and open you up to diversity.
As part of Year 2 of the Hotel Bachelor program, you have the opportunity to spend a semester studying abroad, at one of our partner universities in Europe or around the world.
Students who go away are selected according to criteria of academic excellence. Our partner institutions require a minimum B2 level in English (TOEIC or TOEFL). A limited number (1 to 5) of students are welcomed at each of these universities to ensure optimal integration.
You must take the courses enrolled in the program of the host institutions: your academic career abroad counts towards your degree at Savignac, thanks to the ECTS credit system.
You pay no tuition fees to the host university: this option is available to you as part of your studies atÉcole de Savignac. There are, however, costs associated with your stay abroad: airfare, accommodation, food, insurance, vaccinations, visa, laboratory fees...
Each year, you'll have the opportunity to take part in internships all over the world. In this way, you'll learn about different cultures and discover the business world through an international prism.
L'École prepares you to become adaptable professionals with careers that know no borders. You'll learn to work in English and to integrate different managerial cultures. These experiences will give you the international profile that companies are looking for.
Your internships abroad are supervised, just like internships in France, byÉcole de Savignac and the host company, which sign an internship agreement with you.
What sector is more influenced by international cultures than thehotel, tourism and catering industry? Every culture has its own vision, rules and affinity with hospitality, gastronomy and relationships. It's these elements of culture that make up a successful customer experience.
Although our hotel school is based in France, it aims to open up many more horizons to the world. Our internationalization efforts start directly on campus, by welcoming foreign students from our twenty partner universities. Then, they take place abroad, through the many international mobility options offered to our students as part of their curriculum.
This is an aspect of our curriculum that we defend with fervor. Tourism is a global industry, and a course in luxury hospitality has to be as well. By studying or working abroad, you open up your perspectives to new cultures and ways of seeing, while having to reinvent yourself in a new context. You learn as much about yourself as you do about others. Students who have benefited from an experience abroad gain in humility, sense of responsibility and openness to others.
These are key skills in thehotel, restaurant and tourism industries, especially if you wish to work in a multicultural context.
