Savignac emphasizes international openness to train managers with genuine multicultural sensitivity, enriched by multiple international experiences.
AtÉcole de Savignac, students can choose to spend a semester abroad from the second year of their Bachelor's degree in hotel management. This experience is part of the curriculum, and takes place in one of our partner universities in Europe or elsewhere in the world. These are chosen for their academic excellence and their ability to integrate students into a different educational and cultural environment.
Canada, China, USA, Ireland, Senegal, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Taiwan... To date,École de Savignac has signed 20 agreements with universities specializing in hospitality and tourism, covering four of the five continents!
Please note:
As part of your studies atÉcole de Savignac, you are entitled to free tuition at your host university. However, you will still be responsible for other expenses related to your stay abroad, such as plane tickets, accommodation, meals, insurance, vaccinations, visas, etc.
Students selected for this program must demonstrate academic excellence and have at least a B2 level in English, ensuring that they can make the most of their experience abroad. The courses taken are fully recognized and integrated into Savignac's academic curriculum thanks to the ECTS credit system, ensuring continuity and recognition of international schooling.
Every year, Savignac students also have the opportunity to take part in international internships. These experiences enable them to plunge into the heart of diverse cultures, and gain an international perspective on the business world.
Internships abroad are carefully supervised by the school and the host company, with an internship agreement drawn up for each student.
These professional experiences enable Savignac students to :
● Developing adaptive skills
● Learning to work in English
● Integrating into different managerial cultures
Experiences abroad are a springboard for students' careers. They prepare students for international careers, which are increasingly in demand in the hospitality and tourism industries.
At Savignac, we believe that a stay abroad is essential to gain a thorough understanding of a country's culture and language. Even in Paris, where teams are often international, such experience is particularly valuable on a CV. This experience helps you stand out in a competitive professional environment.
That's why studying abroad or doing an internship in a country other than France is an essential part of the experience atÉcole de Savignac.
A striking example is 2017 graduate Éric Laugier, who flew to New York shortly after graduating. There, he played a key role in the success of Joël Robuchon's Atelier, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Éric then moved on to other prestigious establishments, such as Le Coq Rico, before becoming General Manager at Angelina Paris. His exemplary career illustrates the Savignac spirit, and how the skills acquired at our School can open international doors in top-level catering.
Would you like to study at one of our partner universities or do an internship abroad? To help you financially, there are a number of schemes to assist international mobility.
The Erasmus+ grant is undoubtedly the best-known aid scheme for studying abroad. It provides financial aid for students from the European Union to study in another European country. To qualify, you must be enrolled in a higher education establishment and be taking part in an exchange program between European institutions.
Thanks to the Erasmus+ grant,École de Savignac encourages exchanges with partner universities and internships in countries participating in the program.
The amount of the grant depends on the type of mobility (study stay or internship) and the country you are going to. For example, students going to Group 2 countries such as Austria or Spain receive between €292 and €606 per month.
If you're studying for an MBA and would like to go to a country like Canada, the USA or China, you may be eligible for assistance from the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. This aid, intended to support both studies and internships abroad, is adjusted according to the student's household tax income. A committee examines requests for assistance based on criteria such as the student's social situation, academic performance, and the duration of the mobility stay. Assistance is available to all students, whether or not they have a grant, and whatever their intended destination.
Please note:
The mobility grants offered by the New Aquitaine Region cannot be combined with the Erasmus+ grant.
